Bissell Steam Mop Filter
Changing the
Bissell water calcium filter is easy, and it is easy to tell by
the color change from green to grayish or black that a change is needed. It is recommended you change
the Bissell steam mopfilter when it is used up or you can do
permanent damage to your machine. Using a tiny bit of vinegar in the water tank keeps all the internal workings
clean and mold free. The filter just pulls up and off and the new one just snaps right in place and the water tank
goes on top. It performs the job, and if you use distilled water to begin with it last longer. It's really
necessary to change it on a regular basis. The mop doesn't leave any streaks anymore on my floors and the result
overall is better. Without rinse, no chemicals and the floor drys in no time at all what more could you want. The
replacement is easy to install, does a good job, and you need to replace it when the time is due. Just
remember always use distilled water, it will last longer. The Bissell has a pivot head and a sturdier handle.
However, if you have a very hard floor, such as porcelain tile, eventually the pads will get holes where the steam
comes out from rubbing against such a rough surface.
When it comes
to Bissell steam Mop water filter replacement, the mop works great on my laminate and vinyl floors. The steam
mop is great and easy to use, but you have to be careful and not knock the handle or the filter casing can
break easily. That's the only reason some people have to replace the filter cartridge. Another reason to
replace the filter is when it is knocked off the steam mop and cracked. It is very hard to find them in
stores but they are available online. If you are careful with these filters, they will actually last a long
time. The installation is easy and work great.
